Troubleshooting Common Conversion Problems

The PDF layout looks different from the original

This is nearly always font-related. Use standard system fonts in your DOCX, or embed custom fonts before uploading. If spacing appears tight, review line and paragraph spacing in your source document, then convert again.

Images are missing or have shifted position

Linked images are not embedded in the file and therefore cannot transfer. Re-insert them via Insert → Picture so they are part of the document. Avoid floating images with complex text-wrap settings if precise placement is critical.

The file is taking too long to upload

Large embedded images are the most common cause. Reduce image resolution inside the DOCX, or split a lengthy document into smaller sections, convert each one, and combine the resulting PDFs afterwards.

The DOCX is password-protected

Remove the password restriction in Microsoft Word before uploading. Open the document, go to File -> Info -> Protect Document, and clear the password. You can then convert and re-apply any access controls to the resulting PDF.
